History

In Northern Tuscany

Eremo dei Poeti is a 100-year-old building in the hamlet of Canova. It is located in Tuscany, in the territory of lower Lunigiana.

Built at the end of the 19th century, the structure is remembered by elderly locals as the home, for a brief period of time, of Nazi-Fascist troops and suffered, towards the end of World War II, several bombings, which, fortunately, did not cause major destruction.

Even today it is possible to find the mark on the floor left by an unexploded bomb inside one of our apartments. At the end of World War II, the building returned to the ownership of the Novelli Family.

In 2016, at the behest of Luca, Santina Novelli's grandson, and thanks to the contribution of the Tuscany region, restoration work began on the complex and rural work in the green area around the entire structure.
